Optimation is now "R" Stamp Certified!
In December 2009, The National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors gave Optimation its “R” Certificate of Authorization. The certification allows Optimation to perform welding repairs and alterations to metallic pressure retaining items both in its shop and out in the field, an uncommon capability for industrial welding service suppliers in Rochester.
In order to obtain “R” accreditation, an organization must meet specific quality system, inspection and documentation requirements. Then a board-certified review team must observe the company’s work to show evidence of welding knowledge, post weld heat treatment, nondestructive examination and other repair activities. Upon approval, the company is issued an “R” symbol stamp and certificate, valid for three years.

Optimation journeymen welders have the equipment and expertise to provide portable
welding for onsite services as well as welding needs for machine and system requirements
in our Rochester, NY shop. Our welding team has a systems mindset, working with
our pipe fitters, sheet metal workers and millwrights.
Two Certified Welding Inspectors
work with customers to set up certified welding processes and guarantee weld quality.
The team is accustomed to working in man-baskets and aerial lifts; welding requirements
in high places are not a problem for us.
Additionally, the team has hot-tap gas line experience; we can tap into an air or
water line without shutting down production. Prior to performing any hot tap services,
we first perform a pipe thickness and integrity check. Working with local utility
companies, we can also support hot tap for natural gas.
Clients can not only rely on our team to build from their design, but also to suggest
improvements. Our team can provide assistance during design reviews, working from
sketches and verbal concepts, as well as formal designs. Based on our efficiency
and skill, machine and sheet metal shops come to us to provide their welding services.
