Optimation provides controls engineering services for a wide variety of process
and manufacturing industries. Our controls engineers are experienced in providing
requirements definition, functional specification development, system prototyping,
implementation, testing, documentation and training.

PLC Programming
We have an experienced group of highly proficient PLC programmers. Our team has
developed a programming standard that provides for quick development, quality code
and easy maintenance. Our PLC experience covers most of the available hardware and
software programming environments including Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Modicon and
GE. Our team is knowledgeable and proficient in the use of IEC 1131-3, the international standard for programmable controller programming languages:
• Ladder diagram (LD)
• Sequential Function Charts (SFC)
• Function Block Diagram (FBD)
• Structured Text (ST)
• Instruction List (IL)

Distributed Control Systems
Many industries rely on the power of distributed control systems. Our engineers
have implemented solutions using a wide variety of DCS systems, including Siemens
PCS7, Foxboro IA, Fisher Provox & Delta V and ABB MOD 300.

PC-Based Controls
Our engineers have experience with PC-based control toolsets. A real-time application
engine on an open system is appropriate for a wide range of manufacturing processes,
and can expand control capabilities by supporting ActiveX objects and custom user
controls. Example environments include InControl and Think and Do.

Supervisory Controls (SCADA and HMI)
Our engineers are skilled in the configuration of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition
(SCADA) and Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems. Common implementation environments
include Wonderware tools, GE Proficy and iFix, Ci Technologies Citect, Rockwell
RSView32 and National Instruments LabView. HMI skills include PanelView, PanelMate
and WinCC.

Vision Systems
A variety of complementary technologies have also been used to successfully meet
our clients' needs, including the use of vision systems.

Bar Code and RFID Technologies
A variety of complementary technologies have also been used to successfully meet
our clients' needs, including the use of bar code and RFID technologies. |
